If I have any...more aged members of my audience...um...

I don't know. I was going to say "don't hit me", but that would involve a lot of work on your part.

Oh. Wait. Mo lives just across the strait.

There's nothing wrong with older people! People are like scotch, the older the better! Fifty years is great, but eighty? That's just magnificent!

...sorry.

So, yeah, this is a comic. Tomorrow there will be another one.

I just found out that my Computer Programming Final is tomorrow, not the day after, so...that'll be fun. On the upside, after that I only need to do christmas shopping, my christmas list, thank you letters, prep for next term, returning textbooks, getting new textbooks, sorting out scheduling errors, and by then I'll probably have a whole day of not needing to do anything before school starts back up!

...oh, and what a day that day will be...

...but, I digress. Sort of. You should go here and post an entry in the photo contest. Nobody has posted for several days...and I know that somebody more than MatthewJA must have read this in that time...

You seem to forget, I can see you. I doubt that he views my whole archive from eight to fifteen different randomly selected computers daily...although, it is possible.

I doubt it though.

Regardless, you should all (with the exception of him, he's already entered) go and look and post a picture.

Well, goodbye for now...

Enjoy!

Suuure I don't.

Do you use Google Analytics? The one thing I'm not prepared to abbreviate.
Jrade 14th Dec 2010, 6:56 PM edit delete reply
Jrade
I don't, yet...partly because I'm actually a little afraid that you are my only reader, and all my "views" are just spambots or server skips...
MatthewJA 14th Dec 2010, 6:58 PM edit delete reply
MatthewJA
Then ADVERTISE or something!
How did I find this comic again?
Jrade 14th Dec 2010, 7:01 PM edit delete reply
Jrade
Umm...I don't know. How did you find this comic?
MatthewJA 14th Dec 2010, 7:03 PM edit delete reply
MatthewJA
Now if you had google analytics, you could -
It would appear that I was attracted to the comic by your hilarious comic 2.
Front page pity? Followed by you being awesome?

Front page pity = new comic which I look at because it's new.
Jrade 14th Dec 2010, 7:06 PM edit delete reply
Jrade
Yes! Pity finally helped me!

I think I will get GA...

...why would you not want to abbreviate that?
MatthewJA 14th Dec 2010, 7:10 PM edit delete reply
MatthewJA
Because GA could be anything.
I would end up abb. it Google Anal.
Jrade 14th Dec 2010, 7:13 PM edit delete reply
Jrade
Why not just GooAnal?
MatthewJA 14th Dec 2010, 7:22 PM edit delete reply
MatthewJA
Pff, that would be silly.
Go get GooAnal, right now. Get Anal, then come back and guess where I live and who my ISP is.
Jrade 14th Dec 2010, 7:28 PM edit delete reply
Jrade
You're right, there is a slight possibility that certain individuals could take that the wrong way...

Whatever we call it, I installed it now. Maybe it will even work...
MatthewJA 14th Dec 2010, 7:35 PM edit delete reply
MatthewJA
Psh, you know what you're doing.
Mine works well...
MR GOOGLE CHROME!
I'm on to you, Mr Cable Internet. I bet you're sitting there on your 1280*800 monitor and CHUCKLING. CHUCKLING, I DO SAY
Jrade 14th Dec 2010, 7:39 PM edit delete reply
Jrade
Heheheh...I am now.

Seriously, though, you guessed my monitor resolution?

Well, you guessed its current settings...It'll support up to 1680x1050...but that's quite honestly, too many pixels.

Also, CHROME ROCKS!

It's not registering any hits though...It says it's installed correctly...what do I do now?
MatthewJA 14th Dec 2010, 7:43 PM edit delete reply
MatthewJA
Whatever, Mr Windows, I-
SHIT.
I usually type "Analytics" and Analytics is the first thing in my list, so I hit enter and get there. I hit enter too soon, and, using IE9, it googled ANAL and brought up a wikipedia page for Anal sex.

On another note, I know you started reading on October 30. But you probably glanced at the comic on the eighteenth, then started reading it every day on the second.
Google Analytics is majorly awesome.

It collects data, so you gotta wait a day or two to get stuff.
You'll notice your views are slightly lower than CF, CF is correct though.
Jrade 14th Dec 2010, 7:50 PM edit delete reply
Jrade
I notice that you didn't mention closing said wikipedia article...

...learn anything new?

How can you determine my dot? Does it have my username next to it? Does it have a picture of my face? That would be cool.

I don't want to wait a day or two, I want my ridiculously accurate feedback results RIGHT NOW! Hmph!
MatthewJA 14th Dec 2010, 7:52 PM edit delete reply
MatthewJA
You'll spot me immediately.
But wait one day. Then you'll have one day's data.
I can tell which is you easily:

...I see Mo...and Magravan...and probably all the other CanadianFuries too...
MatthewJA 14th Dec 2010, 8:06 PM edit delete reply
MatthewJA
There's a very easy way to find out which one is Magravan.
Jrade 14th Dec 2010, 8:23 PM edit delete reply
Jrade
What would that be?

Also, I just noticed and revived your advertisement thread...maybe a second shot is what it needs...?
MatthewJA 14th Dec 2010, 8:25 PM edit delete reply
MatthewJA
I don't seee it

Well, Magravan went through my whole archive in a day. But it isn't showing up.
Jrade 14th Dec 2010, 8:30 PM edit delete reply
Jrade
It's there.

Ah, I see.

GooAnal just told me you're in Sydney.
MatthewJA 14th Dec 2010, 8:33 PM edit delete reply
MatthewJA
Telstra's in Sydney. I'm halfway between Sydney and Brisbane.

TO GOOGLE EARTH!
MatthewJA 14th Dec 2010, 8:33 PM edit delete reply
MatthewJA
But you get the idea. So it's not always spot on. But tell me my screen res ;D
Jrade 14th Dec 2010, 8:41 PM edit delete reply
Jrade
You're probably on a resolution-less CRT monitor, aren't you?

...low-tech bastard...

Hmm...I'd guess...16:10, 1440x900 (maximum resolution), currently deforming to 1280x720, 17 inch, LCD monitor.
MatthewJA 14th Dec 2010, 8:45 PM edit delete reply
MatthewJA
3200*1080.

AHAHAHAA
Jrade 14th Dec 2010, 8:46 PM edit delete reply
Jrade
Damn! Double Damn!

Wait, Maximum or Current? How'd I do for the rest?
MatthewJA 14th Dec 2010, 8:48 PM edit delete reply
MatthewJA
Heh, it's a 1920*1080 monitor PLUS a 1024*728 monitor. I have two, leading to a total screen res of the above. Why don't you use google to check?
MatthewJA 14th Dec 2010, 8:49 PM edit delete reply
MatthewJA
LCD yeah.
Jrade 14th Dec 2010, 8:51 PM edit delete reply
Jrade
Bah! Cheating, I say!

In that vein, guess the combined resolution of my computer, laptop, and tablet...

A hint: You will be incorrect.

Damn, I'm good.

I just got it working forty minutes ago.

It's taken me from then until now to figure out, reliably, how to use the map...Maybe in a few months I'll be able to work your magic.
MatthewJA 14th Dec 2010, 9:10 PM edit delete reply
MatthewJA
Click Sydney. Then there's a little box above the views graph down the bottom, click it and click an option.
Jrade 14th Dec 2010, 9:13 PM edit delete reply
Jrade
2025x1139? That's not even a valid number!

Also, 320x480...sadly small.

Also, hello to the people from Nebraska and Oklahoma who just looked at this! Thanks!
